About the Personal Support Worker Program
The Personal Support Worker program is designed to provide students with skills in providing supportive care to individuals across the life span. This includes clients experiencing cognitive and intellectual impairments, physical and mental health challenges, and illnesses.

Students in this program will gain skills and knowledge in areas such as personal support communication and records management, infection control and prevention, human body anatomy, chronic illness and disease, palliative care, First Aid/CPR and providing client care.

Medix College’s Personal Support Worker (PSW) program is registered and aligns with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities Personal Support Worker Standard, 2022 and the training requirements established by the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care.
